Annette Bosworth
Dr. Annette Bosworth, known to many as Dr. Boz, is an Internal Medicine physician with over two decades of experience helping patients navigate the challenges of chronic disease, mental health, and metabolic disorders. Born into a farming family in rural South Dakota, she carries with her the values of hard work, resilience, and the belief that all things are teachable. From clinics to online audiences of millions, her career has centered on one effort: teaching people how to overcome conditions like obesity, diabetes, depression, autoimmune illness, and addiction.
She has served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah and the University of South Dakota Schools of Medicine. A lifelong teacher and storyteller, Dr. Boz is the author of the bestsellers ANYWAY YOU CAN and ketoCONTINUUM, where she turns complicated science into real-life stories that help people take back control of their health. Through her clinic, lectures, and books, she has guided thousands in using ketogenic nutrition to reverse insulin resistance and optimize brain function.
Leaders such as the Department of Defense Counterterrorism hired her to teach officers and veterans how to optimize their brains. She has also worked closely with underserved populations in South Dakota, particularly within Native American communities, addressing disparities in addiction, mental health, and chronic illness care.
Dr. Boz’s work has been featured by CNN, Time Magazine, US News & World Report, and Fox News. Beyond her professional achievements, she embraces her role as a wife and mother of three sons and continues to share her passion for meaningful medicine – one story, one patient, and one ketone at a time.
